Our Programs

Babies, whose needs are met quickly and warmly, achieve a crucial developmental task – attachment. When infants attach successfully to their parents and caregivers, they learn to trust that the outside world is a welcoming place and are more likely to explore and interact with their environment. This lays the groundwork for further social, emotional, and cognitive development and is the foundation on which our infant program is built.

  • These 2 infant classes are involved in a wide range of daily activities. Tummy time, fine and gross motor skills are important to physical development. While caregivers and classroom consistency play a very important role in developing social skills as well as trust, confidence and self esteem, in infants.
  • Our infant classes also enjoy daily outdoor time, weather permitting. All infants go outdoors twice a day, once in the morning and once in the afternoon. We also have a 6 passenger Bye-Bye buggy, specifically designed for infants, to help enjoy the outdoors and assist in taking nature walks and outdoor strolls.
  • Parent's Choice Advantage Powdered Formula with Iron, may be provided through our CACFP food program if desired.
  • Stage 1, 2, and 3 Gerber baby foods as well as rice cereal, oatmeal, and multi grain cereal, may also be provided through our CACFP food program if desired.
  • Parents have the right to breastfeed their child, and provide breast milk to their child, while the child is in care. Special provisions and a comfortable chair will be provided to any parent at any time wanting to breastfeed their child.
  • All of our caregivers that provide care to infants are required to have annual SIDS/ and shaken baby training, infant CPR and 1st aid as well as 24 additional hours of training, outside of their classroom on infant care such as, routines, activities and developing positive self esteem.
  • All of our teachers, in addition to these requirements must also pass a state background check as well as federal fingerprint filing through the FBI.

Activites

We offer free choice centers, as soon as the 2’s arrive. They are not required to be at any center at any given time, but have the freedom to roam and explore at their own pace. The centers provided are: reading center, table activities and manipulatives, home center, blocks and cars and science center.

Art center is done as a group activity and is part of their Buttercup Curriculum provided through Funshine Express. Potty Training

Potty-training success hinges on physical and emotional readiness, not a specific age. Many kids show interest in potty training by age 2, but others might not be ready until age 2 1/2 or even older — and there's no rush. With a restroom located in the classroom, our highly trained staff will be ready and willing to help with this potty training process, when you and your child decide it’s time.

With your child’s third birthday, the “terrible twos” are officially over and the “magic years” of three and four begin—a time when your child’s world will be dominated by fantasy and vivid imagination.

Our Three-K program, readily prepares our 3 year olds for Pre-K. They start to focus more on speech and grammar as well as letters, letter sounds, and writing. They also move up to the next level of curriculum. They advance from the Buttercups to the Fireflies curriculum through Funshine Express. Fireflies® is a high-quality, professionally-designed preschool curriculum that creates enthusiasm for learning and builds school readiness skills. The monthly preschool activity kits provide educators and parents with strategies for children with various developmental needs, experiences, and diverse culture. Activities and assessment materials are aligned with early learning standards.

Research demonstrates that high-quality pre-k increases a child's chances of succeeding in school and in life. Children who attend high-quality programs are less likely to be held back a grade, less likely to need special education, and more likely to graduate from high school.

As you could probably imagine, our schooler room is one of our busiest classes with the most amount of energy! At this age, having planned activities, both indoor and out, is crucial to the smooth flow of the classroom. This is one of the reasons we have divided our schooler class into 2 different age groups. This allows a smaller group size and helps with planning more age appropriate activities to cater to the specific needs of children in different age groups.
